Our Branches

Columbia International Relations Council and Association is comprised of seven principal branches covering a variety of IR activities from Model United Nations to political publications. Each of the branches is detailed down below in addition to the branch-specific websites. As the college circuit’s premier crisis conference, Columbia Model United Nations New York (CMUNNY) endeavors to capitalize on the spirit of dialogue inherent in our city, a hub for diplomacy and cultural exchange. Our dynamic committees put delegates in close quarters with challenging ideas and real-world imperatives, providing the opportunity to forge lasting relationships with the future movers and shakers of international affairs.

CPR

The Columbia Political Review is a multi-partisan, undergraduate magazine seeking to enhance involvement in the political process and to foster political discourse. As a multi-partisan organization, CPR does not endorse the ideas contained within its pages, although it is dedicated to presenting unique vantages on political situations, cast through the Columbia and collegiate lenses.

SM Board

The Marketing and Social branches of CIRCA serve to create a fun environment through organized activities for club members. These branches help build the community within the club and increase interaction and participation between branches. SM Board meets every week and any member of CIRCA is welcome to join the meetings and help plan CIRCA's social events.

CMUNCE

The Columbia Model United Nations Conference and Exposition (CMUNCE) is the premier crisis conference for high school students in the United States. The hallmark of CMUNCE is its fast-paced crisis committees, which allow students to react quickly and solve real world problems in international affairs. Our conference is organized and run by over 100 talented Columbia students all with a common spirit of professionalism and goal of promoting dialogue within the realm of international relations.

CMUNNY

CESIMS

CESIMS was founded in 2012 as the philanthropic arm of CIRCA. Its goals are to increase access to Model UN and the critical skills developed through Model UN for underprivileged schools and students in the New York City area. Dedicated to providing an educational and affordable Model UN learning experience for all of its students, CESIMS strives to maintain a high-quality conference and educational curriculum with one day-long conference on Columbia University's campus each semester.
